Located at the Olympia Regional Airport, the Olympic Flight Museum is known for its collection of World War II fighter planes and for its annual Olympic Air Show, a Port-sponsored event traditionally held over Father’s Day weekend every year. The museum is open for tours and events.
Hands On Children's Museum
At its new location along the East Bay District waterfront, the Hands On Children’s Museum is open seven days a week, including late nights on Thursdays. The Museum stimulates curiosity, creativity and learning through fun, interactive exhibits and programs for children, families and school groups. The programs and participatory exhibits are designed specifically to encourage interaction and inquiry, as well as participation from the entire family. Visit the Museum at 414 Jefferson Street NE.
WET Science Center
The WET (Water Education and Technology) Science Center offers interactive exhibits, environmental presentations, weekend family activities and educational experiences for schools and youth groups in its exhibit gallery and classroom. The goal is to provide the community with a fun, hands-on opportunity to learn about precious water resources including conservation, reclaimed water use and protecting Puget Sound.
The center is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM, except on observed holidays. It is a project of the LOTT Clean Water Alliance and is located in LOTT’s Regional Services Center, 500 Adams Street NE, in the East Bay District of downtown Olympia.
